It has officially been 2010 for 15 days now. I can honestly say, I never expected to ever see 2010….and if so, I would own a flying car! Well….it’s 2010, I’m still alive, I don’t own a flying car, however, my little sister is a now a married woman! Strange……
After Christmas, Genya, myself and our husbands {and baby B too} packed our hats, gloves, and long underwear to brace the winter storms that were hitting the North. When we landed in the Steel City, we weren’t disappointed as we were met by a snow covered city. Having grown up in Pittsburgh, it was just the welcome {home} I looked forward to! Genya on the other hand…..had to prepare herself mentally for the freezing temperates weeks prior to our arrival!
The past 18 months have been packed full of all things wedding! Not only from a work perspective, but also at home! After shooting weddings every weekend, I finally had the chance to be apart of one. And not just any wedding, but my sister’s! As soon as my sister Afton and Dan were engaged, wedding talk was none stop. I’ve promised my new bother-in-law that I no longer will bombard them with late-night phone calls! At least for the time being…..
After crazy amounts of DIY projects, branches, feathers, diamonds, guitar picks, vinyl records, Converse kicks, and snow balls…Afton and Dan are officially hitched!! It was an evening I’ll always cherish that was full of laughter, smiles, tears, dancing, memories and a perfect couple who means the world to me!!!
Not to mention…the fun carried over into an amazing day after session…despite the snowy, 25 degree weather! We survived!
Congratulations Afton and Dan!!!
