Who doesn’t love a little glitz and glam(…well perhaps aside from the majority of the male population)?!! For those who do, Ashley and Alex’s wedding truly satisfied! The fun little details had us captivated…from the pink birdcage veil, pink diamond ring, the broach and rosette bouquets, the thumb prints of guests, the photobooth with family photo heirlooms, the hilariously entertaining couple’s dance, to even the details on the cake and topper (seriously look at this cake….everything on the cake resembles the wedding day!)…..it was all amazing!! Shelby Peaden and her team were beyond fantastic! Most fun of all…Ashley and Alex’s exuberant and lively personalities!! We seriously went home that evening with smiles on our faces!!

When you were little did you ever play telephone? Maybe it’s because we’re girls- or it’s just one of those sparkling {my husband might disagree} personality traits…but we have a gift for gab. At this point in our lives we’re logged more chatting hours than a operator at a BP-complaint center!
Anyhow- we love to talk and find the old game of telephone quite endearing…hence the use of it during Kate and Will’s engagment session!! The duo humored us as we knocked around 30-A one evening. From bike riding to flower filled piggy back rides- it was refreshing!! Their Rosemary Beach wedding is just around the corner and we can’t wait for round two in September!

Every now and then, there are things that are completely out of your control no matter what….a concept that is hard for me to remember at times! About a month ago, Genya was so sick, she ended up in the ER. While Genya was in the ER, I packed up the gear and headed out to 30A for Sally and Raley’s engagement session. Unpredictable times such as these, make us very thankful there are 2 of us!!
Even though it wasn’t the same without Genya, Sally, Raley and I had a fun time amongst the tea cups, bicycles, and cupcakes! One thing we clearly could have done without was the heat and bugs that seriously left welts on my arms and legs for weeks….those are the 2 major issues I have with the South!
As quickly as time is flying by, Sally and Raley’s wedding in Montgomery this coming March is around the corner and we can’t wait!

After a month of traveling for weddings, we are finally settling back in…with a major to-do list hovering over us!! Living overseas instilled in me a love for travel and an excitement to discover new places…however, I can only live out of a suitcase for a short amount of time before becoming completely disoriented!
In May (yes, I told you that to-do list was long), we had the absolute pleasure of venturing to Apalachicola for a wedding that seemed more like a family members than a client’s! From the moment Paula (mom) and Suzanne (bride) booked us, getting to know them, their family and friends is something we have truly cherished! Due to Paula’s sweet words and unending raves, you might actually recognize more than a few familiar faces (Allison and Lucy)!
Even though Apalachicola is only an hour from where we live, for some reason neither of us had ever been there. We had a blast tromping around the town everywhere from old brightly colored walls to park swings! Saying we fell in love with the quaint little beach town, would probably be a grave understatement! Putting together this post had me thinking I need to talk a little vaca here soon!

If my little boy, Brayden {Genya’s little girl Mia, like to tell everyone “his name is baby B, but we call him Brayden sometimes}, had been at Betsy and Justin’s Carillon Wedding…there is no doubt he would have gone nuts! Bubbles, paint, shakers, and glow rings are a sure way to captive any child…..and a quick way to get a party started with adults! As the guests arrived, they were greeted with a giant canvas, paint, and brushes…all for them to leave their mark which would later be hung in Betsy and Justin’s home!! With The Fabulous Expressions keepin’ everyone’s feet on the dance floor, the couple made sure the guests kept their hands full of music shakers and glow rings! No sparklers or flower petals for this couple…it was bubbles galore! Yes, I’m confident little B would have had mini heart attached from all the excitement!
With all the bright, and cheery decor from Events by Nouveau Flowers, tasty meringue cake by Confections on the Coast, tasty ethnic food stations by Townsend Catering, and giggling banter with the couple, made for a wonderful night!
….Oh and the fact that my dress ripped clear up the back side also kept things a little interesting….thank goodness for leggings and my shootsac!

We’ve come to learn that come rain or come shine, it doesn’t matter as long as you have a couple that is adorable and in love! Jillian and David’s wedding weather faced mixed emotions…it couldn’t make up it’s mind if it wanted to rain or shine. Regardless…we enjoyed every minute!!
Just as weather is unpredictable…so are kids!! Both of us being mommas who love our little munchkins to death….are suckers for cute kids! Jillian had a little table all decks to the nines with goodies and entertainment for the little kiddos at the wedding. With all the giggles that came from Genya and I while we read all the hilarious little notes from the kids…people probably couldn’t tell the difference between who were the adolescence and who were the adults (that confusions happens more than we would probably like to admit)!
Kids may be unpredictable, but they sure are full of insightful advice…..Jillian and David, “remember your vowls!”

This spring, there seemed to be a common trend on Saturdays….wind! And I’m not talking just a blustery day in the hundred acre woods, I’m talking Gail force hurricane winds….but no hurricanes, thank goodness! Asheley and Greg’s Carillon Wedding was absolutely beautiful…but the wind had us all in a bit of a panic from time to time. But have no fear, everything went off with a hitch…and the hanging lanterns with candles survived! Regardless of the weather, everyone had a great time and at the end of it all Greg and Asheley were married…and have beautiful pictures to remember their special day!

Genya and I are like tweedle dee and tweedle dum (or as Genya says tweedle smarter), starsky and hutch, tom and jerry, thelma and louise, lucy and ethel, bill and ted…ok, you get the idea. Anyways, we do almost every shoot together and when we can’t, it like I’m missing the left side of my brain.
Stacy and Chris came into town from Denver to wrap up final wedding plans and wanted to do an engagement sessions. Genya already having a previous commitment, I gathered up our gear, put on my big girl pants, and set out all on my lonesome.
Stacy and Chris were so much fun and we had a blast! After the first few minutes, we were rockin’ and rollin’ and didn’t even realize time had elapsed! This past weekend was the couple’s wedding and seeing them again was like seeing old friends!

When I say I’m rather backed up in the blogging department, I’m not exaggerating! And I’m sure if anyone notices…it’s our brides who are waiting patiently! This week, I’m sending myself off to the blogging cave!
Here in Florida, the weather is absolutely unpredictable! Almost all our couples have witnessed this is some form I’m sure, but I think Amber and Frank were handed the largest dose of weather unpredictability to date! We had an absolute blast working with It’s A Shore Thing at Rosemary Beach and were kept on our toes to say the least with Mother Nature’s ploys. Mid-way through the night, the venue had to be changed due to horrible storms…and lets just say somehow, the VUE chicks ended up transporting the cupcakes made by Confections on the Coast! Coincidence…I think not!
A few weeks ago, our hearts broke at the news of Amber’s father passing shortly after her wedding. We received a call from her today asking if we could send her a few images for his funeral this week. As heart breaking as it is to lose a loved one, it made Genya and I realize once again why we love what we do…..we were able to give Amber and her family images that they will treasure forever of her father on that special day! Regardless of the crazy weather, Amber and Frank’s wedding was truly beautiful and memorable!

It’s A Shore Thing…always making sure everything is covered!!!
Emily absolutely blew us away with her incredible craftiness and precious personality!! From first glance, we were in love with the details of Emily and Ben’s wedding! Look out Martha Stewart! Emily made everything from her rosette and broach belt to the old blue shingle wedding signs. We just had to share!
Wedding up on deck next for the blog…Amber and Frank’s Rosemary Beach wedding {with Asheley and Greg to follow}!! It’s May…what can I say!
