sMiTTeN sMiLes

Long before Genya and I met Amy and Jeff, we were already smitten by them!  When we first started talking about the possibility of shooting their wedding we were speaking with Amy’s mom…who informed us to keep everything on the DL until we meet with all of them.  Hearing this we were very intrigued…but when we heard why, you could probably hear girlie “awwww” echoing!  Jeff hadn’t yet proposed to Amy and had a master plan…an impressive one at that!  Before the ring was ever on Amy’s finger, the venue, date, and vendors were all booked…Jeff knew her THAT well!  {Gentlemen, take notes….knowing your lady is very, VERY important}. The couple headed down to Carillon for a beach trip…little did Amy know she would be leaving engaged to Jeff with her wedding pretty much ready to go!

Caffeinated and ready to go, Genya and I headed off to Carillon for a spring wedding, but were beyond excited to finally meet Amy and Jeff before hand!  From the moment we walked through the doors, everyone was all smiles.  We concluded that Jeff is a one of a kind, brilliant guy, because as far as we were concerned we had been perfectly matched…we could have sat and chatted with the two of them and Amy’s mom all afternoon!  We couldn’t get enough of their preciousness!  Thankfully, we didn’t have to wait long for their September wedding day to arrive!

When the big day finally approached, I think every single expectation we had for that day were blown out of the water!  Everything from Amy’s dress {Genya and I wish we could have multiple weddings just so we could wear all these dresses we swoon over!}, to a perfect recipe for brilliant ceremony lighting, to the best cake fight to date…still has the two of us in happy spirits!  Genya and I were in stitched laughing at Amy’s reasoning to having the train on her dress altered off….she refused to look like she was “pooping fabric”!!

We have found a down side to this job.  With the majority of our couples having destination weddings, it makes hang-outs and get togethers quite the obstacle! The upside…getting to spend one of the most important days with people we can truly call friends!
